LONDON, KY - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Carly Dorraugh arrested Erin Whittington, age 46 of London after being dispatched by London – Laurel County 911 Communication Ctr. to conduct a welfare check on a
female subject walking along the roadway on John Parker Road, 5 miles south of London and apparently speaking erratically.
Upon arrival in the vicinity of the complaint Deputy Dorraugh encountered the female subject and conducted an investigation. During the investigation the female subject became increasingly hostile and screamed and threatened Deputy Dorraugh.
It was determined that this subject was under the influence and upon arrest this individual refused deputy’s commands, struggling briefly with Deputy Dorraugh before being taken into custody.
Erin Whittington was charged with:
- Public intoxication – controlled substances
- Terroristic threatening – third-degree
- Resisting arrest
This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
