Large amount of Blue Crystal Meth seized in Laurel County

Laurel County, KY -  Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Detective James Sizemore along with Detective Bryon Lawson, Detective Sgt. Chris Edwards with assistance from Deputy Jake Miller and his K-9 “Gotcha” arrested two individuals off Riggs Lane one mile south east of London on Thursday afternoon December 20, 2018 at approximately 4:27 PM.

The arrests occurred after the Laurel County Sheriff’s office developed information while conducting a drug investigation and located two individuals – one at a residence and one in a vehicle in the vicinity and located a large amount of blue colored crystal methamphetamine (almost a pound), and a large sum of US currency.

The two arrested individuals were identified as:

The individual at the residence – Andy M. Riggs age 55 of Lily, charged with trafficking in a controlled substance – first-degree – first offense – methamphetamine; trafficking in marijuana -first offense.

Also arrested in a gray colored Chevrolet Malibu nearby was Rex Allen Gray age 30 of Storms Lane, Keavy, charged with trafficking in a controlled substance – first-degree – first offense – methamphetamine.

These two individuals were lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
