LONDON, KY - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Bobby Roberts arrested Lissa Bryant age 44 of Williamsburg, KY on Saturday night November 9, 2024 at approximately 10:11 PM.
The arrest occurred in a business parking lot off E. Laurel Rd., approximately 4 miles east of London after Deputy Roberts was dispatched by London – Laurel County 911 Communication Ctr. to a complaint of a female subject allegedly passed out in a vehicle there.
Upon arrival at the scene Deputy Roberts located the suspect in a silver Chevrolet Malibu and noted that she appeared to be passed out with the engine on and her foot on the gas and a motor revving. In addition, Deputy Roberts noted observing a glass pipe in her possession.
Deputy Roberts was finally able to awaken the driver and had her exit the vehicle and an investigation was conducted and she was determined to be under the influence. In addition, this subject was found in possession of two clear baggies containing a clear crystal substance believed to be methamphetamine.
This subject was also located in possession of gabapentin and it was determined that she was wanted on outstanding warrants.
Lissa Bryant was charged with:
- Operating a motor vehicle under the influence – second offense
- Possession of drug paraphernalia
- Trafficking in a controlled substance – first-degree – second offense – methamphetamine
- Possession of a controlled substance – first-degree – first offense
- Prescription controlled substances not in proper container – first offense
In addition, this subject was wanted on a Laurel District Court bench warrant of arrest charging:
- nonpayment of court costs
Also, this individual was charged on a Laurel Circuit Court indictment warrant of arrest charging:
- Trafficking in a controlled substance – first-degree – first offense – methamphetamine
- Tampering with physical evidence
- Possession of a controlled substance – first-degree – first offense – hydrocodone
Also, the subject was charged on a Laurel District Court bench warrant of arrest charging:
- Contempt of court
This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
