Reported missing person found dead in Laurel County

Laurel County, KY -  Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Detective Kyle Gray along with Deputy Robert Reed, Detective Sgt. Chris Edwards, Detective Gary Mehler, Detective Bryon Lawson, Deputy Jake Miller, Deputy Travis Napier, Deputy Josh Morgan and Laurel County Coroner Doug Bowling are conducting a death investigation after the discovery of a reported missing person's body.

Danielle Baker age 31 of Laura Lane, London, KY was found deceased in the woods behind her residence off Laura Lane on Tuesday afternoon December 4, 2018 at approximately 3:00 PM.

She was found by her father who notified Laurel 911 dispatch, sending the Laurel County Sheriff’s office to the scene.

Cause of death has yet to be determined and an autopsy is scheduled in Frankfort on Wednesday to assist on the investigation.

Danielle Baker had been reported missing on Monday December 3, 2018, and had apparently been missing from her home since December 1, 2018.

Circumstances of the death are currently under investigation.

Assisting was Laurel County Emergency Management director Justin Noe, and Ambulance Inc. of Laurel County.
