Laurel County, KY - Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Rick Cloyd arrested Carrie Lewis Gordon age 41 of Curry Branch Road, Manchester on Wednesday afternoon June 27, 2018 at approximately 4:00 PM.
The arrest occurred off South Stewart Rd., approximately 10 miles south of London after Walmart's loss prevention team attempted to detain this subject for an alleged shoplifting offense.
This subject apparently fled on foot and was found riding in a truck attempting to leave the parking lot. Total value of the theft was $32.14 in merchandise.
When Deputy Cloyd made contact with this individual, she gave a false name.
When she gave her correct name, it was determined that she had three outstanding warrants.
Carrie Lewis Gordon was charged with theft by unlawful taking – shoplifting under $500; and giving officer false identifying information.
This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
