Senate Confirms Claria Horn Boom of Kentucky to be U.S. District Judge

WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) released the following statement Tuesday following the Senate confirmation of Claria Horn Boom of Kentucky to serve on the United States District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Kentucky:

In November, Senator McConnell welcomed Boom to the U.S. Capitol and introduced her at the nomination hearing.

“I congratulate Claria Horn Boom on her confirmation to serve as a U.S. District Judge for the Eastern and Western Districts of Kentucky. As I noted when I introduced her before the Senate Judiciary Committee, Claria exhibits the characteristics of a good jurist – she is fair-minded, professional, and understands the particular role of a federal district judge. I am grateful for her desire to serve the Commonwealth and the nation. Claria brings a strong legal background to the federal bench, and I am confident that she will excel in this new role.”
