STOLEN VEHICLE RECOVERED, SUSPECT ARRESTED IN CLAY COUNTY, KY

CLAY COUNTY, KY - The Manchester Police Department (MPD) is reporting that on Tuesday, October 29, 2024, MPD officers received a complaint of a stolen red truck from the parking lot at PNC Bank.

ManchesterPD logo 175A short time later, a vehicle matching the stolen truck's description was spotted traveling north on US 421 at a high rate of speed and using the middle lane to pass cars.

MPD Chief Jeff Couch observed the suspect vehicle on North US Highway 421 and conducted a traffic stop on Bowling Branch Road. The stopped vehicle was determined to be the reported stolen truck. 

The individual behind the wheel was identified as Bobby Joe Henson, age 43, of Manchester, KY and was immediately was taken into custody.

During subsequent search, Henson was found with identification cards on his person belonging to the victim who owned the truck.

The arrested suspect was transported to the Clay County Detention Center.

Bobby Henson was charged with:

  • TBUT OR DISP AUTO $10,000 < $1,000,000
  • THEFT OF IDENTITY OF ANOTHER W/O CONSENT
  • LICENSE TO BE IN POSSESSION

This individual was lodged in the Clay County Detention Center and is currently housed there at the time of this publishing.
