MANCHESTER, KY - Clay County Sheriffs Office is reporting that: On June 25, 2021 at approximately 11:00 AM Clay County Sheriff Patrick Robinson along with Chief Deputy Clifton Jones, Deputy Dewey Grubb, Deputy Darrell Goins and Deputy Derrick Carr arrested John Holland, 38 of Saplin Fork, Robert Abner, 34 of Morgan Branch and Brian Hubbard, 28 of Highway 638.

It is a sunny, cool, misty, morning at the Hoskins Cemetery at the Island Creek community of Clay County, Kentucky. There is not one that could say a peaceful feeling is emanating from the cemetery. One could say, there is actually a feeling of despair, of almost impending doom lingering in the air

A notice appeared in "The Manchester Enterprise" newspaper on Wednesday May 26, 2021 announcing to the public that the Clay County Board of Education intends to petition the Clay County Fiscal Court for permission to relocate all graves in the Hoskins Cemetery to the Manchester Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Mrs. Darlene Davis Lunsford, beloved mother, school teacher, and dear friend to all was born Friday, October 20, 1950 and passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 24, 2021 surrounded by family and friends to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! She was born in Oneida, Clay County, Kentucky to the marriage of Steve Davis and Rosa Oslonian Davis.
