Well known Clay County trucker Joe Stinson "Bull Calf" passes away




Mr. Joe Harris Stinson, also known as Dynamite and Bull Calf, age 75 years, 8 months and 1 day, departed this life on Wednesday, July 29, 2015 at his home.

He was born on Tuesday, November 28, 1939 in Richmond, Kentucky to the union of the late Carl H. and Laura Rice Stinson. He was a truck driver and worked for Clay Oil for over 22 years.

He leaves to mourn his passing his wife: Gloria Altman Stinson, his daughter: Vonda Kay Stinson of London, 2 step-daughters: Teresa (Henry) Smith of Corbin, and Carol Kukulski (Erik) of Caro, Michigan. Also surviving are 2 granddaughters: Brittany Jo Robinson and Carlin Robinson, 3 step-granddaughters: Stephine Altman, Karissa Kukulski and Kristen Kukulski, 1 step-grandson: Andrew Long, 1 step-great granddaughter: Summer Long, 1 step-great grandson: Logan Joseph Carr, his sisters: Anna K Smith and her husband Hiram of Smithland, Kentucky and Alice Faye Gregory and her husband Russell of Manchester, Kentucky and 2 nieces: Laura Ann Bray and Sarah Gregory.

He is preceded in death by his parents: Carl H. and Laura Stinson, his son: Carl Ray Stinson and his nephew: William Russell Gregory.

Funeral Services for Mr. Joe Harris Stinson will be conducted on Saturday, August 1, 2015 at 11 AM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Ken Bolin will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Rice Cemetery in the Lyttleton Community.

Visitation will be held on Friday evening after 6 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel.
