Norma Jean Day Morgan, 83, born September 11, 1930 in Harlan County, KY passed away April 19th, 2014.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar Bascom Morgan, her parents, Jim and Carrie Maggard Day, her brothers Harold Day, Hannie Day, and Carl Day, and her sisters Effie Reeves, Uvalene Childers, and Evelyn Smallwood.
She is survived by her children Beverly Morgan of London, KY, Wesley Morgan and wife Lindsey, of Richmond, KY, Linda Allen of South Pasadena, FL, Bobbie Smallwood of Berea, KY, and Tammy Williams and husband Phil, of London, KY; Seven grandchildren Michelle, Diana, Stevie, Jennifer, Jordan, Matthew, and Sydney; four great grandchildren Heather, Kati, Kaylee, and Kara; and four great-great grandchildren Logan, Lucas, Aiden, and Jace, as well as brother Larry Day and wife Margaret, of Manchester, KY, and Ann Howard of Manchester, KY. She is also survived by many other loving family and friends.
She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She loved fishing, baking and cooking, gardening, reading, and playing bingo. She enjoyed spending time with her children and many grandchildren. She will be greatly missed and forever loved.
Visitation will be from 6 PM to 9 PM at Britton Funeral Home in Manchester, KY on Tuesday April 22, 2014 and funeral to proceed the following day on Wednesday April 23rd, 2014 at 12 Noon. Graveside services will follow at the Day Cemetery in Big Creek, KY.
