Mrs. Helen Day, age 83 of Manchester, departed this life on Tuesday, March 11, 2014 at the Manchester Memorial Hospital.
She was born on Tuesday, August 26, 1930 in Clay County, Kentucky to the union of Thomas and Odie Doyle Grubb.
She leaves to mourn her passing her children: Betty White of Manchester, Geraldine Banks and Daryel of Annville, and Carlo Day of Manchester. Also surviving is her grandchildren: Scott and Clay Russell White, Greg Banks, Darlene Collins, Nathan Banks and Amanda Day, and 13 great grandchildren.
She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.
She is preceded in death by her parents: Thomas and Odie Grubb, her husband: Mendal Day, 3 daughters: Christine Day, Brenda Day, and Caroline Day, her grandson: Mendal Keith Day, 4 brothers: Oscar Grubb, Will Tom Grubb, McKinley Grubb, and Clifford Grubb, and her sister: Mattie Bennington.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Helen Day will be conducted on Friday, March 14 at 12 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Eldon Browning will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Day Cemetery in the Crane Creek Community.
Visitation will be held on Thursday evening after 6 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel
