Mrs. Gladys Hacker Chadwell, age 95 of Manchester, departed this life on Monday, September 23, 2013 at the residence of her daughter: Rosene Hacker.
She was born on Saturday, July 20, 1918 in Clay County, Kentucky to the union of John and Belle Hays Hacker. She worked at the Kentucky Department of Highways and was a pre-school aid, as well as a member of the Baptist church.
She leaves to mourn her passing her children: Helen Smith and her husband Oscar, Floyd Chadwell and his wife Lela, Ray Chadwell and his wife Flo, Rosene Hacker and her husband Roy, Shelby Chadwell and his wife Marie, Faye Hacker and her husband Mike, Earl Chadwell and his wife Lettie ,and Gary Chadwell and his wife Susan. Also surviving are 18 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren, and 13 great great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents: John and Belle Hacker, her husband: Shelby Chadwell, her son: Johnny Chadwell, her brothers: Steve Hacker, Pearl Hacker, Earnest Hacker and Earl Hacker, her half-sister: Cassie Bowling, her grandchildren: Debra Gail Hacker, Michael Lane Hacker, and her great grandchild: Lori Chadwell.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Gladys Hacker Chadwell will be conducted on Wednesday, September 25, at 2 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel. Family Members will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Manchester Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, September 25, after 12 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel.
