Mr. Earl “Hawkeye” Pennington, age 71 of Manchester, passed away Saturday, September 21, 2013 at his home.
He was born on Monday, February 16, 1942 in Clay County, Kentucky to the union of John Ed and Drucilla Gilbert Pennington. He was a member of the St. Paul AME Church and a heavy equipment operator and was owner of Pennington Lawn Service.
He leaves to mourn his passing his wife: Sheila Bowling Pennington of Manchester, his children: Tina Pennington, Trina Pennington, Terry Godsey, and Kelly Godsey, his grandchildren: Felicia Armentress Pennington and Earl Bryson Blade Pennington, his great grandchildren: Braydon Kade Pennington and Angler Gauge England, his special nephew: Jess Kemp and his sister: Betty Henson.
He is preceded in death by his parents: John Ed and Drucilla Pennington, his son: Timothy Wayne Pennington, and his brother: John “Frog” Pennington.
Funeral Services for Mr. Earl “Hawkeye” Pennington will be conducted on Tuesday, September 24, 2012 at 5 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Jess Kemp, Rev. Donnie McKissic and Rev. Avis Thompson will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Manchester Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, after 2 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Rominger Funeral Home.
