Alice Smith, age 86, of Mill Creek, was born August 30th, 1926, passed away Thursday, August 22nd, 2013 at her home.
She is survived by the following children: Arvin Smith and wife, Carolyn, Roy B. Smith and wife, Loretta Lynn, Evelyn Simpson, and husband, Herman, and Irene Simpson and husband, Willie, all of Mill Creek, Rebecca Smith and husband, Ernie, of Lockards Creek, and Sheila Hubbard and husband, Alan, of Bright Shade.
She is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren, and the following brothers and sisters: R. P. Edwards, Anderson Edwards, Earl Edwards, and Alta Helton, all of Corbin, and Roy B. Edwards, of Indianapolis, IN.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lester Smith, and the following children: Otis Smith, Kenneth Smith, Dennis Smith, Carl Dean Smith, and Linda Smallwood.
Funeral services for Alice Smith will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the Hubbard Missionary Baptist Church at Mill Creek with Herman Mills and Jerry Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Hubbard Cemetery at Mill Creek.
Visitation will be after 6:00 p.m. Friday at the Britton Funeral Home & after 10:00 a.m. Saturday at the church.
