Marie Poole, 77, of Bowling Green, KY, passed away Sunday, December 29th, at the Morgantown Care & Rehabilitation Center in Morgantown, KY. Marie was born in Hyden, KY on November 29, 1947, a daughter of the late Benny and Bertha Hoskins Holland.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Poole.
Marie is survived by her children: Joan Holder and husband Gary, and Ernest Dwayne Smith, and her son-in-law, Farris Collins, all of Bowling Green.
She is also survived by her brothers and sisters: Richard Holland of Burning Springs, Benny Holland of Manchester, Thelma Davis Wombles of Manchester, Myrtle Bowling of Hyden, Mary Davis of Manchester, and Anna Lee Roark of Barbourville; her grandchildren: Justin Smith, Lisa Gregory, Charles Wagers, Effelene Asher, Eselene Asher, and Herbert Asher; her great-grandchildren: Isabella Smith, Kaitlyn Gregory, and MaKayla Gregory; her great-great-grandchild, Vincent Fowler; and by her close friends, Millard Gregory and Jean Clark.
In addition to her husband and parents, Marie was preceded in by her daughter, Alicia Collins; by her grandson: Dustin Patrick Wagers; and her brother, Henry Holland.
Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, January 3rd at Britton Funeral Home, with Paul Mitchell and Jesse Henson officiating. Burial will follow at the Daniel Smith Cemetery in Goose Rock.
Visitation will be held at 6:00 PM on Thursday, January 2nd at Britton Funeral Home.
