Mrs. Elsie Mae (Collins) Harmon, age 83 passed away on Tuesday, September 17, 2024 in Manchester, Kentucky. She was born on Thursday, January 9, 1941 in Manchester, Kentucky. Elsie dedicated her life to her family, embodying the roles of a devoted housewife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother with unwavering commitment and love.
Elsie was a hard worker who cherished her family immensely, often expressing her love through her actions and care. A God loving Christian, she was a member of the Manchester Christian Church. Her faith played a significant role in her life, guiding her through many of life’s challenges and joys.
In addition to her family and faith, Elsie had a passion for working with flowers and engaging in various crafts. These hobbies provided her with great joy and were a way for her to share her creativity with those she loved.
Elsie is survived by a loving family: her children: Alice Pearl Harmon, Tommy Harmon and Lillie Mae, Michael Harmon and Margie, Lester Harmon and Sandra, Joshua Jones and Selena, her brothers: Charlie Collins, Harvey Dean Collins, Harold Wayne Collins and Lawrence Collins, her sister: Ida Hubbard, her grandchildren: Naketa Harmon, Rachyl Harmon, David Harmon and Kennedi as well as her great granddaughter: Haley Alexis Jones.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband: David G. Harmon, her parents: Lester and Idell Collins and her siblings: America Croucher, Magadline Smith, Joe B. Collins, Nellie Hatfield, Scott Collins and Delbert Collins.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Elsie Mae (Collins) Harmon will be conducted on Tuesday, September 24, 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Brad Stevens and Rev. Allen Roberts will be presiding. Burial will follow in the Manchester Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends and loved ones on Monday, September 23, 2024 from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel.
