Wilma Sue Allen, 72, of Manchester, KY, passed away Monday, August 26th, at the University of Kentucky Medical Center. Wilma was born in Corbin, KY on February 13th, 1952, a daughter of the late Eva Rose Smith.
Wilma is survived by her husband, Hugh Allen of Manchester, KY.
She is also survived by her son, Hugh Allen, Jr. and wife Tonya, and her daughter Christina Purtee and husband Nick, all of Manchester, KY; by her grandson, Michael Feldman who she loved dearly; and by her sisters: June Rogers and husband Don of Ohio, Bonnie Hembree and Georgia Ann Baker, both of Corbin, KY.
In addition to her mother, Wilma is preceded in death by her brothers and sister: Don Dotson, Mack McCoy, Sam McCoy, Tommy Smith, Wayne Smith, James Smith, and Thelma Smurdell.
Services for Wilma will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, August 30th, at Britton Funeral Home, with Carl Allen and Homer Mills officiating. Burial will follow in the Allen Cemetery on Patty’s Rock in Oneida.
Visitation for Wilma will be held at 12:00 PM on Friday, August 30th, at Britton Funeral Home.
