Dorothy Irene Lyttle, also known as “Dot” and “Mama Dot,” passed away on April 24, 2024, in Lexington, KY, at the age of 94. She was born to Cleo and John Potter on May 2, 1929, in Manchester, KY. Dorothy was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Dorothy was known for her independent and feisty spirit, combined with a sweet and caring nature. She touched the lives of many with her warmth and kindness.
She is survived by her two children: Valerie L. Watson (Jared) and Clifford Wayne Lyttle (Tasha), her granddaughter Neisha Watson, great-granddaughter Jaelyn Gibbs, sister Margary Potter, two brothers Western E. Potter (Nan) and Troy L. Potter (Wilma) and a very special friend Juanita Drake. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
A funeral service to honor and celebrate Dorothy's life will be held Thursday, May 2, 2024 at 2:00 P. M. at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Donnie McKissic will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Manchester Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be Thursday, May 2, 2024 from 12:00 P. M. until funeral time at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel.
Dorothy will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her memory will live on in the hearts of those she loved.
