Ray Spurlock, age 76, of Manchester, Kentucky passed away Thursday, January 25, 2024.
He leaves behind his loving wife, Bertha Roberts Spurlock; four children, Susan Fugate & husband Benny, Gilbert Ray Spurlock, Billy Lee Spurlock & Lola, Jonathan Spurlock & Melissa, all of Manchester, KY; two granddaughters, Brandy Goodpaster, Savannah Napier; two siblings, Ruth Smallwood & husband Taylor of London, KY, Bobby Spurlock & wife Marilyn of Manchester, KY; plus a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other family and friends to mourn his passing.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert & Alice Allen Spurlock; his son, Jody Spurlock; his grandson, Cameron Peyton Spurlock; and by three brothers, Richmond Spurlock, Don Spurlock, Roy Spurlock.
Ray was retired, and enjoyed being outdoors. He loved to go deer hunting, fishing, and work in the garden. Ray loved his family and getting together for family cookouts. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Funeral services for Ray Spurlock will be held on Monday, January 29, 2024 at 12:00 p.m. in the chapel of House-Rawlings Funeral Home with Randall Westerfield officiating. Burial will follow at Irvin Hill Cemetery in Oneida, Kentucky. The family will receive friends on Monday, January 29, 2024 beginning at 11:00 a.m. until the funeral hour also at the funeral home. The family has entrusted House-Rawlings Funeral Home with the arrangements.
