Fern D. Barrett
1931 - 2023
Fern Dell Barrett, age 92, of Miami Township passed away on November 29, 2023. She was born in Manchester, Kentucky to the late Virgil and Cora Murrell.
In addition to her parents, Fern is preceded in death by her husband, Pleaz and siblings, Otto Murrell, Cecil Murrell, Herman Murrell, Pleas Murrell and Josephine Russell.
Fern is survived by her daughters, Becky (Alan) Barrett-Jones, Lisa Levan; granddaughter, Grayce (Nate Turkov) Levan; special niece, Cheryl (Mearl) Mink; brother, Don (Geraldine) Murrell; along with many other relatives and friends.
Fern was an active member of the Far Hills Community Church for many years, where she served as a Sunday school teacher. She was a well-known seamstress in the Dayton area and very active band mom. Fern loved her cat Bella, butterflies and the color purple. She will be forever loved and dearly missed by her family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Fern's memory to Day City Hospice or Southbrook Christian Church.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. on Monday, December 4, 2023 at Southbrook Christian Church, 9095 Washington Church Rd, Miamisburg. Service will begin at 6:00 p.m. at Southbrook Christian Church.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 5, 2023 at Miami Valley Memory Gardens. Pastor Pete Creamer to officiate.
