Mona Lee Whitaker, age 77 of Fish Trap departed this life on Monday, November 27, 2023 at the University of Kentucky Hospice Care Center in Lexington, Kentucky. She was born on Friday, March 1, 1946 in Manchester to Oakley and Lonzie Davidson.
She leaves to mourn her passing her children: Lawrence Whitaker and wife Dora, Lisa Gilbert and Angie Truett, Scott Whitaker and wife Robin, Tammy Sizemore, Jennifer Baker and husband Eldon, Jonathan Whitaker and wife Sherry and Amanda Napier and husband Baron. Also surviving are 13 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and her beloved partner for over 56 years: Hubert Sizemore. Also surviving are her brothers and sisters: Ed Davidson, Arnold Davidson, Richard “Elmo” Davidson, Beatrice Davidson and Wanda Meadows.
She is preceded in death by her parents: Oakley and Lonzie Davidson, her brothers: David Davidson and Raymond Davidson and her sisters: Laura Davidson, Hazel Sizemore and Nadine Davidson.
Funeral Services for Mona Lee Whitaker will be conducted on Saturday, December 2, 2023 at 1 PM at the Joy Center in the Big Creek Community. Rev. Larry Stubblefield will be presiding. Burial will follow in the Family Cemetery in the Fish Trap Community.
The family will receive friends and loved ones on Saturday after 12 PM at the Joy Center in the Big Creek Community.
