Rev. Robert Gene “Bob” Estep, age 72 of Manchester was born in Indianapolis, IN on September 1, 1951 to the late John Patrick and Arabel Henson Estep and departed this life on November 17, 2023 in Manchester.
He was a member of Upper Hector Holiness Church and enjoyed Hunting, fishing, Basket Weaving, Gardening, and time with family and friends.
In addition to his parents, his wife: Joyce Estep; a brother: Carl Estep; a sister: Laddie Jayne Bowling; a grandson: Patrick John Estep; and his stepfather: Stanley Bowling preceded him in death.
He is survived by his loving children: Angela Smith and husband Rick, Ronald Estep and wife Mary, and Robert Estep, Jr. all of Manchester, Bengela Bada and husband Anthony J of Harlan, IN, Johnny Estep and wife Debbie of Jackson County, and Carl Estep and wife Carol of London; 2 sisters: Ester England and Ruby Smith both of Manchester; 4 brothers: George Estep and wife Lois, J.L. Bowling and wife Darlene, T.C. Bowling, and Virgil Bowling and wife Sereda all of Manchester; 16 grandchildren; 38 great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends to mourn his passing.
Funeral Services for Rev. Robert Estep will be conducted in the Upper Hector Holiness Church on Saturday, November 25, 2023 at 3:00 PM with Rev. Don Hubbard. Rev. Paul Mitchell, and Rev. Joe Crockett officiating. Burial will follow in the Smith and Sizemore Cemetery with family and Friends Serving as Pallbearers. Barbourville Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.
Friends will be received at the Upper Hector Holiness Church Friday from 1:00 PM Friday to the funeral hour at 3:00 PM on Saturday.
