Thelma Jean West, 77, of Big Creek, KY, passed away Wednesday, October 18th, at her home. Thelma was born in Clay County, KY on November 18, 1945, a daughter of the late Oscar and Alice Wagers Woods.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Phillip West.
Thelma is survived by her children: Patricia Reid and husband Tim of Manchester, KY, Phillip David West and wife Beth Ann of Ashland, KY, and Bryon Russell West and wife Connie of New Tazewell, TN.
She is also survived by her brother and sisters: Bryon Woods of Goose Rock, Jessie McConnell of Manchester, and Susan Arnett of Manchester; her grandchildren: Jacob Hunter West, Laura Beth West, Alan Reid, Adam Reid, and Rochelle West; as well as her 4 great-grandchildren: Sebastian Reid, Piper Reid, Georgia Reid, and Harrison West Reid.
In addition to her husband and parents, Thelma was preceded in death by her son, George Alan West; and by the following brothers and sister: George Woods, Lane Woods and Alene Morgan.
Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Sunday, October 22nd at Britton Funeral Home, with Tim Reid and Roy Lane Woods officiating. Burial will follow at the Hoskins Cemetery in Big Creek.
Visitation will be held at 6:00 PM on Saturday, October 21st at Britton Funeral Home.
