Charlie T. McWhorter was born August 18, 1943 in Clay County, KY, the son of the late Ance Brack and Maggie Hopper McWhorter. He was united in marriage to Jenny Faye Clarkston McWhorter who preceded him in death.
He is survived by his son, Freddie McWhorter and wife Trish of London, Kentucky; three grandchildren, MaKenzie McWhorter Coons and husband Brandon, Chase McWhorter and wife Alexis, and Sydney Charles McWhorter, two great-grandchildren, Scout Coons and Camden McWhorter; plus a host of other family and friends to mourn his passing.
In addition to his parents and wife, he is also preceded in death by his son Chad T. McWhorter.
He was a retired business owner and founder of Clay Building Supply in London and Manchester. He was a member of the Oneida Masonic Lodge where he was Past Master of High Knob, a member of Pleasant Point Baptist Church and also affiliated with The Creek Church in London.
Charlie T. McWhorter departed this life Tuesday, October 3, 2023 being 80 years, 1 month, and 16 days of age.
The funeral services for Charlie McWhorter will be conducted at 1:00 PM Saturday, October 7, 2023 at Bowling Funeral Home with Trevor Barton, Frank Peters and Paul Chamberlin officiating. Burial will follow in Manchester Memorial Gardens in Manchester, Kentucky.
The family of Charlie McWhorter will receive friends beginning at 6:00 PM Friday with a Masonic Service beginning at 7:00 PM at Bowling Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers the family suggest memorial donations be made to Chad's Hope, 300 Chad McWhorter Lane, Manchester, Kentucky 40962.
