Jeffery Hacker (better known as Jeff) was born January 22, 1966 in Laurel County and departed this life Friday, January 28, 2022 at the U.K. Good Samaritan Hospital in Lexington, at the age 56. He was the son of Judy (Faulkner) Murray of Tyner and of the late Bill Hacker.
In addition to his mother, Jeff is also survived by his wife, Christine (Curry) Hacker of Annville and by five children, Lynsey Shay Hacker of London, Lesley Purkey (Travis) of McKee. Jeremy Helton (Robin) of Clay County, Alyssia Mills of London, and Brittany Goins (Tyler Sturdivant) of London. Other survivors include his three siblings, Kimberly Hacker Small (Chris) of Tyner, Brian Hacker of Cincinnati, OH and Bill Hacker of Annville. Jeff was blessed with the following grandchildren, Ezekiel, Hezekiah, & Zayne Purkey, Scarlett & Abby Peel, Remmington Burkhart, Ariel Gibson, Olivia Sturdivant and Madi Grace Helton.
Other than his father, Jeff was also preceded in death by his brother, Billy Michael Hacker.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at Lakes Funeral Home with Bro. Steve Wilkerson and Bobby Stevens officiating. Burial to follow in The Knobb Cemetery. Pallbearers: Kevin & Michael Lawson, Dewey Grubb, Andy Belt, Derrick Brewer, Tyler Sturdivant and James Lewis. Honorary pallbearers: Russell Flannery and James Lewis.
