Ruth Engle was born on March 23, 1935 in Harlan, Kentucky to the late Jesse and Sally Baker Fields. She is survived by her children; Michael Engle and wife Karen of Houston, Texas, Tami Banks of Corbin, Kentucky, and Susan Carroll and husband Bill of Spring Hill, Florida.
She is also survived by her siblings; Etta Belle Turner of Lexington, Kentucky, and Naomi Rowe of Harlan, Kentucky, and her grandchildren and caregiver; Kelsey Napier and Kyler Banks of London, Kentucky, Sarah Hargrave and husband Brandon and Lauren Gordy and husband Chris both of Houston, Texas, Savannah Carroll of Spring Hill, Florida, and one great-grandchild; Taylor Hargrave. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her siblings; Lottie, Carol, Willie, Clyde, and Needy, as well as her dog Coopie.
Ruth Engle was a homemaker and a member of Hopewell Baptist Church.
Ruth Engle departed this life on Tuesday, December 7, 2021 being 86 years, 8 months and 15 days of age.
Funeral services for Ruth Engle will be conducted at 1 PM Thursday in the Bowling Funeral Home Chapel with Herschel Walker officiating. Burial will follow at the A.R. Dyche Cemetery in London, Kentucky. The family of Ruth Engle will recieve friends at Bowling Funeral Home from 12 Noon until the funeral hour.
The family requests that face coverings be worn inside the funeral home.
