Barbara Jean Wombles, 73, of Manchester, KY, passed away Sunday, November 14th, at the University of Kentucky Medical Center. Barbara was born in Manchester, KY on February 28, 1948, a daughter of the late Frank and Delphia Northern Hollin.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Allen C. Wombles.
Barbara is survived by her children: Douglas Hicks (Sonia) of Maryville, TN, Kimberly Wombles of Manchester, Jeanine Wombles of London, and Donna Perry and her significant other Tim Hubbard of Manchester.
She is also survived by her grandchildren: Courtney Jackson, Rachel Hicks, Allen Whitaker, Chase Whitaker, Holly Whitaker, Morgan Wombles, Logan Stevens, Jordan Stevens, and Mason Wombles; his great-grandchildren: Noah Perry, Luke Jackson, Abel Jackson, Thomas Allen Whitaker, Chance Whitaker, and Korbin Whitaker; her brother, Rick Hollin and wife Lisa of Ohio; and her sisters: Phoebia Wyatt and Janice Swafford, both of Manchester.
In addition to her husband and parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her brother and his wife, James and Betty Hollin; her sister and her husband, Debbie and Clifford Smith; and her brother-in-law, Ron Wyatt.
Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, November 19th at Britton Funeral Home, with Rick Holt officiating. Burial will follow in the Hurd Cemetery.
Private Visitation for the family will be held from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Thursday, November 18th at Britton Funeral Home, with Public Visitation following at 6:00 PM.
