Clarence David Ratliff, 66, of Manchester, KY, passed away Wednesday, September 8th, at the Holston Valley Hospital in Kingsport, TN. Clarence was born in Hyden, KY on September 17, 1954, a son of the late Clarence and Tressie Baker Ratliff. He was a coal miner for 39 years.
Clarence was a second father to many people and an upstanding member of the community.
Clarence is survived by his children: David Ratliff of Manchester, and Victoria Ford and husband Brandon of Sierra Vista, AZ.
He is also survived by one grandchild, Kendallyn Ford; and the following siblings: Virgie, Sonny, Benny, Billy, Thelma, Edith, Ruby, and Reva.
In addition to his parents, Clarence was preceded in death by three brothers: Charles, Teddy, and Bobby.
Services will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, September 15th at Britton Funeral Home, with Kenny Smith officiating. Burial will follow at the Delph Cemetery in Manchester, KY.
Visitation will be held at 6:00 PM on Tuesday, September 14th at Britton Funeral Home.
