MANCHESTER, KY MAN ARRESTED FOR DVO VIOLATION

MANCHESTER, KY - Clay County Sheriff, Patrick Robinson, reports that on Tuesday, March 18, 2025 Deputy Dustin Henson received a call in reference to a male subject at a residence on Sally Little Branch Road.

The caller stated that the male had busted the window out of her truck and also had an active DVO in place.

Upon arrival at the scene, Deputy Henson made contact with the caller/victim and began an investigation. She stated that the male subject, identified as Johnathon Stapleton, 37, of Manchester, KY, had busted the window out of her truck, made threats towards her and that he had left towards town.

After leaving the residence, Deputy Henson received another call informing him that Stapleton was back at the residence.

Upon arriving the 2nd time at the scene on Sally Little Branch Road, Deputy Henson spotted Stapleton walking past the residence and into another drive way just two houses past the callers.

After Deputy Henson pulled up to the subject and attempted to speak with him he began to flee directly behind the residence onto the other side at another residences driveway.

After a brief foot pursuit, the subject complied and was placed under arrest without further incident.

Stapleton also admitted to busting out the window of the victim's truck. Also, dispatch confirmed the active DVO in place on Stapleton.

Johnathon Stapleton was arrested for:

  • VIOLATION OF A KENTUCKY EPO/DVO
  • FLEEING OR EVADING POLICE, 2ND DEGREE (ON FOOT)
  • MENACING
  • CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 2ND DEGREE

This individual was lodged in the Clay County Detention Center.
