Pascal Edward "Brother Jim" Gilbert, 74, of Manchester, KY, passed away Wednesday, August 18th, at the St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington. Brother Jim was born in Pittsburg, KY on September 21, 1946, a son of the late William Pascal and Leona Powell Gilbert. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Era.
He is survived by his wife, Hilda Mann Gilbert; and his children: Sonny Crafton of Manchester, Jimmy Gilbert and wife Jessica of Manchester, Jason Napier of Lawrenceburg, Tina Gilbert of Indiana, and Tiffany Gilbert Munden and husband Ryan of Indiana.
Brother Jim is also survived by his brothers and sisters: Harold Gilbert and wife Delilah of East Bernstadt, Earl Gilbert and wife Janice of London, Wayne Gilbert of East Bernstadt, Paul Gilbert and wife Jaimie of London, Myrtle Geer and husband Bill of London, Wanda Philpot and husband Ray of Versailles, and John Sandlin of Indiana; and his grandchildren: Cameron Benfield, Adelyne Munden, Beckett Munden, Copper Lee Gilbert, Xachary Mullins, and Xavier Mullins.
In addition to his parents, Brother Jim was preceded in death by his son and daughter, Jerry Lee Gilbert and Tina Crafton. He is also preceded in death by the following brothers and sister: Charlie Gilbert, Kenneth Gilbert, Don Gilbert, and Patricia Harris Gilbert.
Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, August 22nd at Britton Funeral Home, with Steven Napier officiating. Burial will follow at the Beech Creek Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Sunday, August 22nd at Britton Funeral Home.
