REPUBLICAN PARTY OF KENTUCKY REACTS TO BESHEAR'S DESIRE TO PUNISH AMERICANS FOR SUPPORTING PRESIDENT TRUMP

FRANKFORT, KY (January 30, 2025) — The Republican Party of Kentucky (RPK) Communications Director, Andy Westberry, issued the following statement regarding a recent New York Times article about a phone call between Sen. Chuck Schumer and Democratic governors, during which Andy Beshear advocated for punishing Americans for supporting President Trump.

"Andy Beshear's hypocrisy is truly staggering. In public, he talks about the Golden Rule and the need to end divisive politics. Behind the scenes, however, he is advocating for Democrats to inflict pain on the American people, simply because they didn’t vote for Kamala Harris.

"Kentuckians overwhelmingly support President Trump’s efforts to protect families from violent crime, deadly drugs, and out-of-control inflation. Instead of standing with Kentuckians, Andy Beshear wants to punish them.”
