David Ray Nunley, of Gastonia, North Carolina, was born on October 21, 1963, the son of the late James G. Nunley and Sarah Ellen Young Nunley who survives.
He is also survived by his daughter, Christina Marie of Charlotte, North Carolina, siblings, Charles Nunley and wife Liza of Apopka, Florida, Jim Nunley of London, Kentucky, Barb Smith of Daphne, Alabama, Susan Lea and husband James of Manning, South Carolina, Mike Curry of Indianapolis, Indiana, and Josh Nunley of London, Kentucky. He is also survived by his nieces, Jennifer Nunley, Linda Gillis, Shelley Nunley, Taylor Nicole Lea, and nephews, Patrick Nunley, Benjamin Nunley, Tyler Nunley, and Jacob Lea. In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by one brother, Tom Nunley.
David Ray Nunley was a veteran of the United States Navy and an Information Technology Technician for AT&T.
David Ray Nunley departed this life on July 16, 2020 being 56 years, 8 months, and 26 days of age.
Memorial services for David Ray Nunley will be conducted at 5:00 PM Tuesday, July 21, in the Bowling Funeral Home chapel. Burial will follow in the Southard Cemetery in London.
The family of David Ray Nunley will receive friends at Bowling Funeral Home after 4:00 PM Tuesday until the funeral hour of 5:00 PM.
