Virgil Rice was born February 04, 1944 in Perry County, Kentucky to the union of the late Cliffton and Hester Turner Rice. He was united in marriage to Burnette Rice on June 13, 1966 in Saul, Kentucky. By occupation, Virgil was a retired truck driver and formerly was employed by the Charleston Powder Plant. Virgil was an avid fisherman and loved spending time with his family. Virgil departed this walk of life on Tuesday, June 09, 2020 at the AdventHealth in Manchester, Kentucky. He was 76 years old.
In addition to his parents, Virgil was preceded in death by one sister, Annie Combs.
Virgil leaves behind, one beloved son, Virgil Glenn Rice & Sarah Gail of Essie, KY; two beloved daughters, Patricia Pennington & P.J. of Yeaddiss, KY and Rhonda Barger & Ronald, Jr. of Oneida, KY; four brothers, Ronald Rice, Lonnie Rice, Lewis Rice and Cliffton Rice, all of Indiana; two sisters, Ruth Brandonburg and Gina Ryker, both of Indiana; six cherished grandchildren, Ray, Jay, Cody, Cassundra Farmer, Benjamin Rice and Regina Barger; one cherished great-grandchild, William Farmer. A host of other family and friends also survive his passing.
Funeral: 11A.M. - Saturday, June 13, 2020 at Panco Community Church with Jerry Rice officiating and obituary by Ralph Bowling.
Interment: Granville Rice Cemetery - Saul, KY
Visitation: 6:00 - 9:00 P.M. - Friday evening at the funeral home chapel.
