BEDFORD COUNTY, TN (August 21, 2022) – The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) is reporting that a joint investigation by TBI special agents with the Drug Investigation Division of TBI, the Bedford County Sheriff’s Office, and the 17th Judicial District Drug Task Force resulted in the indictment of a Shelbyville man, in connection to the drug-related death of a Bedford County resident.

MULTNOMAH COUNTY, OR - The Multnomah County Sheriff's Office is reporting that at around 1:15 P.M., on Friday, August 19, dispatchers received a report that a female hiker suffered a head injury after falling near Wiesendanger Falls in the Columbia River Gorge.

SBA Opens Two Business Recovery Centers in Pike County, Kentucky

SBA logo 200ATLANTA – The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) has announced that two Business Recovery Centers (BRCs) will open on Monday, Aug. 15 in Elkhorn and Virgie, Kentucky. These BRCs are established to provide one-on-one assistance in submitting a disaster loan application for Kentucky businesses impacted by the severe storms, flooding, landslides and mudslides that began on July 26. The disaster declaration covers Breathitt, Clay, Floyd, Knott, Leslie, Letcher, Magoffin, Martin, Owsley, Perry, Pike, and Whitley counties in Kentucky, which are eligible for both Physical and Economic Injury Disaster Loans (EIDL) from the SBA.
