Driver & Passenger flown to UK Med Center after Tom Cat Trail crash

Laurel County, KY - Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Deputy Cody Faulconer along with Deputy Gary Mehler, Sgt. Larry Parrott, and Deputy Travis Napier investigated a single vehicle injury traffic crash which occurred on Tom Cat Trail, approximately 3 miles east of London on Sunday night October 16, 2016 at approximately 7:50 PM.

The investigating deputies report that apparently a 1994 maroon colored Chevrolet pickup was traveling eastbound on Tom Cat Trail when the vehicle lost control, traveled over an embankment and flipped end over end and landed on its top trapping the driver inside.

The driver was identified as Robert Doney age 51 of London – Transported to UK Med Center by helicopter for treatment of injuries.

The passenger was identified as Johnathan Doney age 29 also of London – Transported to UK Med Center by helicopter for treatment of injuries.

Assisting at the scene of the crash was:

Bush Volunteer Fire Department, London Laurel Rescue Squad, Ambulance Inc. of Laurel County, PHI helicopter and Air Methods helicopter.
