Mother arrested along with her fugitive son in Laurel County

Laurel County, KY - Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Detective Jason Back arrested two individuals on early Friday morning October 7, 2016 at approximately 1:07 AM.

The arrests occurred off Adams Road, approximately 10 miles south of London after detective Back conducted an investigation and located a wanted fugitive.

The fugitive was accompanied by his mother who gave Detective Back a false name and denying that her son was present at that location.

Detective Back located and arrested Nathaniel Hartwell age 46 of E. View Court, Red Bank, Tennessee who was wanted by the Catoosa County Sheriff's Office in Georgia on charges of escape first-degree regarding child pornography and felony escape.

Also arrested was this subject's mother identified as Katelyn Hartwell age 69 of E. View Court, Red Bank, Tennessee - Charged with giving officer false name or address.

These two individuals were lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
