Two arrests at scene of disturbance complaint - Laurel County
Laurel County, KY - Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Deputy Tommy Houston along with Deputy Shannon Jones and CSO Kyle House arrested two individuals early Tuesday morning September 13, 2016 at approximately 12:16 AM.
The arrest occurred off Pine Grove School Road, approximately 10 miles south of London after deputies were dispatched to a disturbance complaint that a male subject was apparently outside a residence yelling and cursing.
When deputies arrived at the scene the mail subject ran off and into a barn on the property and attempted to hide but was located. While being arrested, this subject began to struggle with deputies cursing and yelling and creating a disturbance there.
Arrested was:
Charles Smith age 47 of Old Way Rd., London charged with assault – fourth degree; fleeing or evading police – second-degree – on foot; resisting arrest; menacing; and disorderly conduct – second-degree. In addition the subject was charged on a Laurel County bench warrant of arrest for failure to appear in court on charges of alcohol intoxication in a public place. In addition the subject was charged on another Laurel County bench warrant of arrest for failure to appear in court on charges of operating a motor vehicle under the influence – third offense; also the subject was charged on a Laurel County bench warrant of arrest for failure to appear in court on charges of operating a motor vehicle under the influence leaving the scene of an accident and driving on DUI suspended license – first offense.
Samantha Allen 40 of Pine Grove School Rd., London charged on a Laurel County bench warrant of arrest for failure to appear in court on numerous traffic violations.
The two individuals were lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
