WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell made the following comment today regarding the election of Brian Duffy as Commander-in-Chief of the Veterans of Foreign Wars:
“I want to congratulate my good friend Brian Duffy on his election as commander-in-chief of the national Veterans of Foreign Wars. For decades, Brian has worked tirelessly on behalf of his fellow veterans. Most notably, he has led the organization Bluegrass Honor Flight to bring Kentucky’s World War II and Korean War veterans to Washington to see the monuments erected for their service. I’ve always enjoyed working with him on projects to benefit Kentucky veterans, and I look forward to continuing to do so in the years ahead. Kentucky and the nation are grateful for his leadership and service.
“Let me also congratulate my good friend Carl Kaelin, whom I’ve also worked with many times on behalf of Bluegrass State veterans, for his appointment to serve as chief of staff to the commander in chief.”
