Laurel County, KY - Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Deputy Josh Scott arrested Mittie Napier age 41 of Sasser Rd., London on Monday afternoon July 4, 2016 at approximately 2:18 PM.
The arrest occurred off Sasser Road, approximately 10 miles east of London after Deputy Scott was dispatched to a complaint to investigate a dispute between two female subjects there.
When Deputy Scott arrived at the scene to conduct an investigation he found this subject in possession of needles, small plastic baggies containing suspected meth, and a large sum of US currency. In addition, a young male child was at the residence.
Mittie Napier was charged with trafficking in a controlled substance – first-degree – first offense – methamphetamine; endangering the welfare of a minor; and wanton endangerment – first-degree. In addition, this subject was wanted on a Whitley County bench warrant of arrest charging failure to appear in court on charges of possession of a controlled substance – second-degree and possession of drug paraphernalia.
This subject was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
Social Services was notified and the child released to relatives.
