LONDON, KY - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Cyruss McVey along with Deputy Matt Walker and shift Sgt. Travis Napier arrested Garrett Lee Brown, age 54, of Crittenton, KY early Wednesday morning February 26, 2025 at approximately 2:12 AM.
The arrest occurred at a business off West Cumberland Gap Pkwy. approximately 12 miles South of London after deputies were dispatched by London – Laurel County 911 Communication Ctr. to a possible burglary in progress complaint there.
Upon arrival at the scene deputies conducted an investigation on a male suspect there and learned that allegedly this individual had entered an area intended for employees only. When employees observed him there, they asked him to leave and he refused. Deputies determined that the suspect was under the influence.
In addition, it was determined that this individual was wanted on numerous outstanding bench warrants.
Garrett Lee Brown was charged with:
- Public intoxication – controlled substances
- Criminal trespassing – third-degree
In addition, this subject was charged on a Grant District Court bench warrant of arrest charging failure to appear in court on charges of:
- Possession of a controlled substance – first-degree – first offense
- Possession of drug paraphernalia
Also, this subject was charged on a Grant District Court bench warrant of arrest charging failure to appear in court on charges of:
- Public intoxication – controlled substances
In addition, Brown was also charged on a third Grant District Court bench warrant of arrest charging failure to appear in court on charges of:
- Public intoxication – controlled substances
This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
