KSP Vehicle Auction Scheduled For June 10


More than 200 vehicles and other items to be sold

FRANKFORT, Ky. (June 9, 2016) -- The Kentucky State Police will put approximately 130 running and 90 non-running vehicles, two modular buildings* and other miscellaneous items up for public auction on Friday, June 10.

The auction will be held at 94 Airport Road in Frankfort, Ky. and is open to the public. Auction items can be viewed beginning at 8 a.m. with the auction beginning at 9 a.m.

All announcements made on the day of sale supersede any previous announcements, oral or written. KSP reserves the right to reject any and all bids.

There will be a 7 percent buyer’s premium charged to all items sold. Full payment is required within one hour after last item is sold. Payment for items to be made by cash, cashiers, certified or travelers checks, money order or in-state personal checks with proper identification.

All out-of-state checks and checks totaling more than $5,000 will require a fully-certified bank letter that guarantees payment. The letter must be on bank letterhead, or bids will not be accepted. There is a $100 fee on all returned checks and a 2.75 percent fee on all credit card transactions.

All items are sold on an as is and where is basis.

*Relocate/Remove two modular buildings located at 1250 Louisville Rd, Frankfort KY 40601. The Commonwealth assumes no responsibility for actual condition of the buildings/structures to be removed. It is expressly understood that the bid includes the structure(s) only and does not in any manner apply to the affected real estate. Successful bidder will have 60 days to remove the structures from premises. The Commonwealth of Kentucky, Kentucky State Police, shall be responsible for having all utilities disconnected at the meter or at service cut-off valve by the appropriate utility companies affected by this removal. Successful bidder will be responsible for any damage, howsoever caused, to the Commonwealth’s property due to the removal or disassembling of the structure. Successful bidder shall observe all laws, ordinances and regulations and obtain all necessary permits, licenses, etc. concerning relocation and removal of the structure, including compliance with governing EPA notification regulations before initiating relocation. Successful bidder, at his/her own expense, shall remove and legally dispose of all materials, nails, scraps and debris from the site resulting from bidder’s activities.
