Laurel County, KY - Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Deputy Kyle Gray along with Deputy Brandon Broughton and CSO Brandon McCoy arrested Robert Anderson Smith age 25 Of Braxton Ln., Lily on Monday afternoon May 2, 2016 at approximately 4:02 PM.
The arrest occurred off Braxton Lane approximately 8 miles south of London after deputies were dispatched to a complaint that a male subject had called 911 dispatch reporting that he had hit his live-in girlfriend in the face and wanted the Sheriff's office to come and arrest him.
When deputies arrived at the residence they learned that an argument had occurred between this subject and his girlfriend after he allegedly tried to take a cell phone from her while she was talking on it and he hit her in the face causing a black eye.
Robert Anderson Smith was charged with assault – fourth degree – domestic violence and was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
