London, KY - On Sunday, April 3rd, London Police received a complaint at 9:34 a.m. about a suspicious vehicle blocking the roadway on West 13th Street.
Through investigation, Derek J. Spurlock, 19, of London was arrested. Officer Jordan Hopkins located Spurlock parked in the roadway and discovered he had an active arrest warrant on him from Fayette County.
Upon arresting Spurlock, Ofc. Hopkins found 10 Xanax on him. The pills were hidden in a plastic container inside his left front pocket. Also located was a broken glass pipe on the driver’s side floorboard.
Spurlock was arrested and charged with third-degree possession of a controlled substance, having a prescription of a controlled substance not in its proper container, and buying or possessing drug paraphernalia.
He was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
