Laurel County, KY - Sheriff John Root is reporting that Lieut. Greg Poynter along with Deputy John Inman and Cpl. Jack Caudill arrested a male subject of Cherry Ave., London, on Friday morning, March 25, 2016, at approximately 8:45 AM.
The arrest occurred off West Cumberland Gap Pkwy., approximately 13 miles south of London, after deputies were dispatched to a welfare complaint to check on a subject inside of a van parked at a business there.
When deputies arrived at the scene and conducted an investigation, they determined that the subject was under the influence – the subject stated that he had taken Xanax.
In addition, the subject was found to be wanted on a Laurel County bench warrant of arrest for failure to appear in court.
