Laurel County, Ky. - Sheriff John Root is reporting that Deputy Kyle Gray arrested Stacy Smith age 37 of Bill Warren Lane, Barbourville on Tuesday night June 16, 2015 at approximately 10:15 P.M.
The arrest occurred off Slate Ridge Road, approximately 8 miles south of London after Deputy Gray was dispatched to a complaint that an intoxicated female was at someone else's residence (other than her own) trying to set fire in the yard.
When Deputy Gray arrived at the scene and conducted an investigation he learned that this female subject had a lighter out and was trying to set some garbage on fire in the yard of a residence where she did not know who lived there.
Stacy Smith was charged with public intoxication – controlled substances and criminal trespassing – third-degree and was lodged in the Laurel County detention Center.
