Laurel County, Ky. - Sheriff John Root is reporting that Deputy Kyle Gray along with Deputy Kevin Berry arrested Tommy Martin age 45 of Jones Road, London on Saturday afternoon March 14, 2015 at approximately 2 P.M..
The arrest occurred off Jones Road, approximately 3 miles south of London after deputies were dispatched to a domestic violence complaint alleging an assault between a male and female subject.
When deputies arrived at the scene they observed this subject throwing the female subject's clothing into the yard and learned that there had been an argument and fight between this subject and his girlfriend.
When deputies contacted the female subject who had went to a next door neighbor's residence they observed her to have a black eye and scratches on her face and she reported that this subject had struck her in the face.
Tommy Martin was charged with assault – fourth degree – domestic violence.
In addition, this subject was charged on a Laurel County bench warrant of arrest for failure to appear in court on a charge of theft by unlawful taking – shoplifting.
This subject was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
