Laurel County, Ky. (Sept. 2, 2019) - Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Gary Mehler and his K-9 “Edge” along with Deputy Tommy Houston arrested Matthew Edward Farthing age 35 of Richmond, KY on Friday night August 30, 2019 at approximately 10:48 PM.
The arrest occurred at a business off Highway 770 approximately 9 miles South of London after deputies were dispatched to a disturbance complaint there.
Upon arrival at the scene deputies conducted an investigation on this subject determining that he was under the influence and learned through investigation that this subject allegedly created a disturbance in the area.
Matthew Edward Farthing was charged with:
- Alcohol intoxication in a public place
- Disorderly conduct – second-degree
This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
