MANCHESTER, KY - Clay County Sheriff, Patrick Robinson, reports that on Tuesday, August 13, 2024, Clay County Sheriff's Sgt. Wes Brumley witnessed a vehicle cross the center line and attempted to pull it over for Careless Driving but the driver refused to stop and fled the scene.
Sgt. Brumley pursued the fleeing vehicle and was able to conduct a traffic stop. During an investigation the driver was identified as Bridgette Hillard, age 43 of Inez, KY, it was also learned that this subject had a felony probation violation.
Sgt. Brumley with the assistance of Deputy Jordan Duncil and MPD Officer Brayden Gibbs took Hillard into custody and she was transported to the Clay County Detention Center for processing.
Bridgette Hillard was charged with:
- PROBATION VIOLATION (FOR FELONY OFFENSE)
- CARELESS DRIVING
- NO REGISTRATION RECEIPT
- NO REGISTRATION PLATES
- RESISTING ARREST
- DRIVING DUI SUSPENDED LICENSE - 2ND OFF (AGG CIRCUM)
- LICENSE TO BE IN POSSESSION
- FAILURE TO PRODUCE INSURANCE CARD
- FAILURE TO REGISTER TRANSFER OF MOTOR VEHICLE
- FLEEING OR EVADING POLICE, 1ST DEGREE
