LONDON, KY - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Daniel Reed arrested Amber Glanton age 32 of Corbin on Wednesday evening July 31, 2024 at approximately 5:30 PM.
The arrest occurred at Walmart near Corbin in southern Laurel County after Walmart's loss prevention team detained this individual.
When deputies arrived at the scene and conducted an investigation they learned that allegedly this individual had attempted to leave the store without paying for $376.32 worth of merchandise. All items were recovered.
Amber Glanton was charged with:
- Theft by unlawful taking – shoplifting
In addition, this subject was charged on a Laurel District Court bench warrant of arrest charging:
- Failure to appear in court
Also, this subject was charged on a Whitley District Court bench warrant of arrest charging:
- Failure to appear in court
This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
