ANTIOCH, TN MAN SENTENCED TO 20 YEARS BY JUDGE IN WHITLEY COUNTY, KENTUCKY

WILLIAMSBURG, KY - The Commonwealth's Attorney's Office for Whitley & McCreary counties reports that a Tennessee man convicted by the 34th Judicial Circuit Commonwealth's Attorney, Ronnie Bowling has been sentenced.

Tommy Kemper, age 45 of Antioch, TN was sentenced to 20 years in prison by the Honorable Paul Winchester.

Kemper was convicted in the Whitley Circuit Court in Williamsburg for:

  • Attempted Murder
  • Theft by Unlawful Taking
  • Fleeing and Evading

The Investigation was conducted by Detective Sgt. Billy Correll from the Kentucky State Police.

Kemper was involved in a vehicle pursuit in a stolen vehicle, when he intentionally struck KSP Detective Aaron Peace in an attempt to flee authorities. Kemper fled the scene following the crash.

During the investigation, KSP Detective Correll, using DNA testing, extended surveillance, and telephonic monitoring put Kemper behind the wheel of the car.

At the time of this publishing Mr. Kemper is housed in the Whitley County Detention Center in Williamsburg.
